W 6th St and Harbor Blvd, San Pedro, CA 90731
With all the activity on the LA Waterfront that weekend, we recommend leaving PLENTY OF EXTRA TIME for parking and getting to the Festival location. This will also give you time to enjoy all we have in store in our TallShip Village right next to the LA Maritime Museum!
Click here for more information about parking options and the free trolley that travels around Downtown San Pedro during Fleet Week. Our trolley stop is the LA Maritime Museum, which is also the trolley stop for the Fleet Week Expo.
PLEASE NOTE: The parking lot adjacent to the museum is extremely limited right now; please do not count on finding spots available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an age minimum for the sails?
We welcome all ages to sail with us at this event. The one exception is Explore the Coast/Explora la Costa – a STEM-focused educational sail geared toward children 10 or older.
Can I buy sail tickets at the event?
There will be a limited number of tickets available at the event ticket booth.
However, due to capacity limits for each vessel, we cannot guarantee tickets will be available for every sail, so we recommend purchasing tickets online prior to the event. (Tickets are available online up to one hour prior to each sail.)
What do I need to know before the event?
Tens of thousands of people are expected along the LA Waterfront for the long weekend’s festivities, so please leave PLENTY of extra time to park and get to the Festival/TallShip Village at W 6th St and Harbor Blvd.
Each sail begins boarding approximately 30 minutes prior to the sail time. We will also provide more details to those who purchase tickets closer to the event.
Where can I park for the event?
Parking information can be found at lafleetweek.com/map-parking, but please note that the parking lots closest to the festival do fill up quickly each of the four days.
Also, please DO NOT expect to find parking in the lot at W 6th St and Harbor Blvd, as the number of spots in that lot is EXTREMELY limited.
Can I bring snacks and drinks aboard the sails?
We welcome you to bring snacks and drinks aboard any of our sails, except the Explore the Coast/Explora la Costa sail, since it is an education-focused sail with activities at various stations – designed for hands-on participation.
Reusable water bottles are also welcome on any of our sails, and no glass other than bottles please.
