Our Executive Director Bruce Heyman passed the gavel to West Harbor’s Lauren Johnson as Chair of the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce at the annual Business Awards in June 2024. Then, after being sworn in by Councilmember Tim McOsker, he officially became Immediate Past Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Los Angeles County Assessor Jeffrey Prang also presented both Bruce and Lauren with special certificates of recognition and made the audience laugh with his always-witty sense of humor.
We were proud to join with the amazing San Pedro community to celebrate the past year, as well as all the businesses, nonprofits and community members who were honored with this year’s awards. What a special community – we consider ourselves SO lucky to be a part of it!
