American Pride’s Homecoming Celebration and Long Beach Gives

Long Beach Gives is coming up on Thursday, September 19. As we inch closer to our sixth year of taking part in this community-wide day of giving in support of 200+ local nonprofits, we’re also getting closer to sailing full STEAM ahead in Long Beach. We hope you’ll join us in these efforts by supporting the Children’s Maritime Institute – early giving begins Thursday, September 12!

Immediately following the start of early giving, we invite you to join us in welcoming the official tall ship of the City of Long Beach back to her home dock on Pine Avenue Pier in Rainbow Harbor! American Pride’s Homecoming Celebration is happening Friday, September 13 to Sunday, September 15 with free deck tours and hands-on activities, as well as daily sails around the Long Beach Harbor featuring both American Pride and one of our twin brigantines. Learn more and buy tickets for our daily sails here!

We hope you’ll join us exactly four-and-a-half years following the untimely official launch of Children’s Maritime Institute on March 13, 2020… it’s been quite the journey since then, and we’re excited to bring American Pride home. Did you know that you can also create your own fundraiser on our Long Beach Gives campaign page?

The Long Beach Gives campaign page for Children's Maritime Institute, home of tall ship American PrideJust like creating a Facebook fundraiser for a nonprofit organization, the Long Beach Gives platform gives you a fundraiser page of your own. You add a title, share why you’re raising money for us, add an image (or use the header image on our campaign page), and set a goal. Then share that fundraiser page with your friends and family between September 12 and 19, asking them to help us reach our goal!
